ABOUT INTERFAITH SPEAKERS BUREAU

The Interfaith Speakers Bureau program consists of speakers from the Islamic, Jewish, Christian, Buddhist and Hindu faith traditions. The program furthers the practice of religious pluralism and mutual respect by modeling civil dialogues between faith communities in the San Francisco Bay Area - dialogues that are inclusive of all five major religious groups and voices. In addition to describing their respective faiths, the interfaith panelists will also address shared values, differences, and prevalent stereotypes and misconceptions about their faiths.

Panel topics will include an overview of basic beliefs of each of the five major faiths, shared values, living the faith in the San Francisco Bay Area, contemporary issues concerning our respective religions, and issues of common interest as Americans.

AUDIENCE

The program's interfaith panels will present at K-12 public and private schools, colleges and universities, faith congregations, community centers, law enforcement agencies, healthcare facilities and other public and private institutions.
